Beef brisket is one of the most intricate dishes to perfect in terms of the juiciness of the meat and the tenderness that overflows your soul. Yes, it sounds exaggerated but that’s exactly how a beef brisket will make you feel. Before we move on further, what is a beef brisket? It is essentially a cut of meat from the breast or lower chest beef or veal in simpler terms. The best way of cooking this is usually by slow cooking for hours to better enhance the tenderness of the meat with smoky flavour for your enjoyment. These barbequed halal briskets are a labour of love from the cooks by taking almost 20 hours to prep and cook before it’s ready to be served.  The result is a juicy and tender fall-off the bones briskets alongside with other famous BBQ meat. The name derives from both owners who are, of course, have beards aim to create accessible and authentic halal alternatives of world cuisine while building an inclusive social community through wholesome good food. Their sandwiches and ramen smoked beef is another must try here as well. Also, it’s a daily occurrence that the meat sells out fast so get there ASAP!

2. Cowboys Food Truck 


A place for those seeking for a “brisket ecstasy” experience that’ll have the melt-in-your-mouth sensation. Cowboys Food Truck crew can roll-up anywhere and whip fresh and juicy briskets as they smoke in-house for about nine to twelve hours.  Some of the places they’ll be at are in TAPAK urban street dining in TTDI and few other private or open events. Check on their social media pages @cowboysfoodtruck to see where they are at. Besides briskets, they offer a wide range of backyard BBQ food like homemade burgers, hotdogs,  tacos and chicken wings. It’s a halal American styled barbeque so practically anyone can try them! Plus sauces are all homemade.

3. Karnivor Malaya


This newcomer to the brisket business has earned its spot here in this list. Thanks to their generous and affordable choices of platter and food that served. In a platter, you’ll be served with tender smoked brisket, rosemary lamb, mediterranean rice, sweet potato fries and even ribs. Another favourite here is their juicy smoked beef brisket combined with brioche burger bread and wagyu brisket. Located in Bukit Jelutong in Shah Alam, this halal Texas smoked style BBQ  can be crowded upon entering during dinner time. It’s easy to find as there is plenty of signage and is located on the 1st floor. Or just simply smell the smoked brisket, it might just lead you easily to its location.

4. Burnin’ Pit


Regarded as one of the top places to get your brisket beef fixed! It’s a full-flavour barbecue dining experience in a welcoming American atmosphere. A team of seasoned chefs, dedicated front-of-house and an award-winning interior designer has turned that vision into reality. When it comes to its highly sort after briskets, they adopted the low and slow barbecue technique. Sometimes when you’re passing by the shop early in the morning, you can just smell the burning and smoked beef aroma which is cooked no fewer than 14 hours. It’s a family-friendly barbecue restaurant that also serves seafood besides their famous smoked meats and briskets. Make sure you head upstairs as it is decorated in a 1920s speakeasy-style for intimate dine and drink.

5. Yung Kee Beef Noodles 


This place is known to be the “beefiest” noodle house in Klang Valley area. There’s always something about beef noodles soup that comforts your tummy. What more with the most tender beef brisket don in hot and delicious broth soup? Its brisket here is a best seller and they have speciality cuts like Kobe, wagyu, and US striploin. They also have a mix of brisket and tendon in a bowl. Yung Kee is also famous for its dry style noodles which comes with peanut and thick sauce. The beef noodle is a must try with their chilli sauce as well. For the soup, it’s flavorful and aromatic soup would entice you right away.

6. Mom’s BBQ 


Mom’s cooking signifies the essence of what homemade food is all about and that’s what Mom’s BBQ mission is behind serving their food. This Texas slow barbecue is hitting all the right spots when you’ve endeavoured their famous briskets. Run by two brothers, they strive to ensure the beef brisket is tender, has an intense flavour and juicy for the most part. Mom’s BBQ checks out all the beef brisket box perfection. Among their other offers include pulled lamb, beef brisket sandwich, and pastrami. It’s a mobile kitchen so you can catch them mainly in TAPAK in TTDI area.

7. Opium KL 


In the hustle and bustle of the main party streets of Changkat Bukit Bintang, lies Opium KL, that place one of the best Asian food here with a twist. Its interior speaks for itself. Furnished with age-old artifacts such as an opium bed in the Rose Room, opium pipes and huge Chinese wine pots displayed vividly at the Communal area, the outlet aspires the 1930s-1960s. Their delicious briskets are available through cuisine served there such as Beef Kut The Noodles, and the Beef Brisket& Tendon Stew. Also available are oriental delights like dumpling, rendang and to name a few.

8. T Bob’s Corner 


This famous Singaporean steakhouse is now in Subang Jaya. It is one of Singapore’s top halal steakhouse serving it customers with juicy tomahawk steaks, rack of lamb and wonderfully tender briskets. The beef brisket which is cooked in Texan style BBQ, is slow and low cooked for up to 12 to 16 hours. It is used with local woods like mango trees, rambutan trees, and many other to infuse beautiful flavours in. With the briskets, you’ll be served with gherkins, cannellini bean stew, mini bread roll, grilled corn, mashed potato and salad as the side. You won’t need a knife to cut through the meat as it is tender and remains moist.
