Peng Leng Ceng Street Food Bar in Taipan, Subang Jaya

You’re looking out for a place to hang out with your friends. Everyone’s ON but they all have different opinions on what to eat and drink!

“I want nasi lemak!”

“I feel like Korean tonight!”

“I’m craving for something spicy!”

“Anything as long as it’s not too pricey!”

“A beer or two would be good!”

If you find this situation oddly similar, then we’ve been in your shoes! Where can we go under one roof where it’s AFFORDABLE, ATTRACTIVE and AWESOME?

Ta-da! The answer is here.

Introducing Peng Leng Ceng Street Food  Bar in Taipan, Subang Jaya.

The name says it all. Peng Leng Ceng is Cantonese for affordable, attractive and awesome. This is exactly what you get over here. Prices for food range between RM 10 to RM 15. They have tempting beer promos by the mug so check out how to get an upsize for only RM 1! There is a total of seven stalls offering a medley of local and international favourites.

Here are some of the MUST trys:

Dry Wagyu Beef Hor Fun (RM 15) – at Master Weng’s Wok

Nothing like the clanging sounds of the ladle and wok hard at work. At Master Weng’s Wok, it is not easy to resist the luxurious, stir-fried, full of wok-hei hor fun (flat rice noodles) with wagyu. As you take a mouthful of hor fun and wagyu, both of these textures just blend so well together. From the smoky and charred aroma of the noodles to the melt-in-your-mouth beef, and for only RM 15, this is PLC to the max!

Nasi Lemak Sambal Pork Belly Berempah (RM 12) – at Bintang Nasi Lemak

What’s special about this nasi lemak is the nasi and the sides. In this case, the pork belly berempah! The meat is well-marinated with good balance of salt and spices. The pork belly has the right amount of fat and meat in between making every bite juicy and tender. Pair it with the sambal, nasi and the other condiments, it is simply delicious!

Honey Butter Chicken Wings (4 pieces + fries) – RM11 – at Daebak Chicken

Honey + Butter + Chicken Wings are synonymous to Korean pub snacks. From the deep-fried aroma to the crunchy skin slathered with sticky, sweet and gooey sauce, this Korean-style fried chicken wings had us swooning for it more than a half-naked Ji Chang Wook! (Sorry oppa!). This dish also comes with fries and pickled radish on the side.
